Care Instructions
While wizard DNA jewelry does not rust, it can become dull from tarnish over time. If your jewelry has lost its luster, it's best to give it a thorough cleaning. Stainless steel jewelry should be cleaned immediately if exposed to excessive dirt, grease, or harsh chemicals.
Cleaning Instructions
- Pour some warm water in a small bowl, and add some mild dishwashing soap. Submerge the jewelry and allow it to soak in the warm water for about five minutes
- Dip a soft, lint-free cloth (ie: microfiber cloth) in the soapy water, and then gently wipe the stainless steel jewelry with the damp cloth until the piece is clean. You could also use soft-bristled toothbrush to gently scrub away any visible soil in small nooks and crannies in a chain.
- After washing, dip the jewelry in the second bowl of warm water to rinse away any residue. You could also hold the jewelry under a soft stream of running warm water.
- Dry the jewelry well with a clean microfiber cloth, and then leave your pieces to air dry. Additionally, you can choose to finish the cleaning by buffing the surface with a dry microfiber cloth or a jeweler's polishing cloth.
Other tips
- Avoid wearing Wizard DNA jewelry when swimming, showering, or bathing. Although jewelry made from stainless steel, glass, and/or .925 sterling silver is waterproof, avoiding unnecessary contact will prolong its beauty and quality.
- Protect your stainless steel jewelry from direct contact with hairspray, perfumes, and other cosmetics which contain alcohol or other ingredients that can dull and erode the finish. A general rule of thumb to protect jewelry is that it should be the first thing you take off and the last thing you put on.
